Turkey adjusts anti-dumping duty on polyester staple fiber from China

Within the framework of Article 9 of the Decision, with the decision of the Board and the approval of the Minister of Commerce, it has been decided to suspend the anti-dumping measures specified in Article 4 as long as the safeguard measure in polyester fiber imports remains in effect.

Ministry of Commerce of Turkey released No. 2021/44 Communique on Sep 8 2021, saying that with the decision of the Board and the approval of the Minister of Commerce, it has been decided to suspend the anti-dumping measures on polyester staple fibers originating Mainland China, China Taiwan, Indonesia, South Korea, India and Thailand. But if the anti-dumping measure is more than the protection measure in polyester fiber imports, the excess of the anti-dumping measure is collected. In case an import license is declared within the scope, the entire anti-dumping measure is collected.

The communique enters into force on 23/9/2021 and the validity period is the same with the safeguard measure. The tariff code in Turkey involved is 5503.20.00.00.00.
