CCA: cotton crop sowing progress faster than last year in Xinjiang

According to China Cotton Association, weather condition in Xinjiang was basically steady in the first half month of April, and temperature was slightly higher compared with previous years in the cotton growing areas, favorable for sowing. By April 15, 2022, sowing progress of cotton crops reached 72% in Xinjiang, up 24 percentage point year on year. Temperature in South Xinjiang was slightly higher compared with other cotton growing areas, so the sowing has kicked off from April 1, and in North Xinjiang, the sowing started from April 8. The sowing work may basically complete on April 22.
