May 2022 Polyester/rayon yarn exports surged 138.3% on the year

China polyester/rayon yarn exports reached 6,344mt, up 138.3% on the year and 53.9% on the month.

As usual, Brazil, India and Turkey were still the top three in terms of the export volume, sharing 81% of the total exports with Brazil 3051mt, India 1396mt and Turkey 700mt. Among them, Brazil and India saw great increases of 111.5% / 48% on the month and 349% / 296% on the year respectively.

In terms of the origin, Jiangsu still took up the first with export volume of 3,918mt and shares of 62%, followed by Shandong (921mt) and Zhejiang (572mt) with shares of 15% and 9% respectively. All of them saw sharp increases 122.5%, 124.8% and 107.9% respectively on the year.

In conclusion, China polyester/rayon yarn export volume soared in May 2022 both on the year and on the month. The demand in Brazil and India climbed up significantly, and Jiangsu, Shandong and Zhejiang were still the major exporters, especially Jiangsu.
