Acrylonitrile phase II project enter the trial production stage

On November 22, in Dongfang Lingang Industrial Park, Acrylonitrile series phase II project under CNOOC Oriental Petrochemical successfully completed the intermediate handover and entered the trial production stage.

The project plays a crucial role in transforming oil and gas chemical industry in Dongfang Lingang Industrial Park to Fine chemical industry. Officially started on July 13, 2020, the project embraced a total investment of about 2.776 billion yuan. By using methanol, liquid ammonia, propylene and other product resources of relevant enterprises, the project produces optimized products that combined high value-added organic raw materials with polymer material monomer.

The relevant person in charge of CNOOC Oriental Petrochemical introduced that the project overcame multiple unfavorable factors such as tight construction period and rising raw material prices to ensure the smooth progress of project. “The intermediate handover of the project marks the end of the construction phase of the project, and the construction of the project will be transferred to the commissioning work stage. Next, the acrylonitrile production preparation team will cooperate to complete the joint test and production debugging work to ensure the safety, high quality and efficiency of the first feeding of the device and the output of qualified products.” The person in charge said.
