China exports 10.494kt of rayon yarn in Nov 2022, down 54.43% y-o-y, including 5.778kt of single yarn and 1.339kt of ply yarn, respectively down 66.68% but up 2.81% on yearly basis. Thus, the export of 100% rayon yarn occupies 68% of total rayon yarn exports. At the same time, the export of rayon blended yarn amounts to 3.377kt, down 22.95% y-o-y.

Rayon single yarn exported to five destinations (Brazil, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Vietnam) in Nov amounts to 4.675kt, down 71.65% y-o-y, accounting for 81% of total single yarn exports. The export to India starts to warm up after being sluggish for consecutive four months, while that to Brazil drops notably.

Rayon single yarn exported from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Xinjiang and Sichuan totals 5.282kt in Nov, taking up 91% of single yarn exports, down 5% m-o-m and down 69% y-o-y. The export of major origins generally falls much on yearly basis, but is divided on monthly basis as the export from Jiangsu, Fujian and Zhejiang is rising and that from Xinjiang and Sichuan is falling.

The overall export of rayon yarn remains low in Nov, which is almost in line with the reflection of foreign orders, but it is noteworthy that the export to India starts to increase with a preference for low-priced Chinese yarns. Orders outside China are increasing rapidly after yarn prices for each technology have hit new lows in Dec, so the export volume of rayon yarn is expected to improve substantially this month.
