Ningxia Energy and Chemical's BDO unit standard renovation project has successful mechanical completion

On April 15, 2023, the Sinopec Great Wall Energy and Chemical (Ningxia) Co., Ltd.'s BDO plant revamping project built by the Ningxia Energy and Chemical Engineering Project Department of Northwest Branch successfully achieved the mechanical completion.

The up-to-standard revamping project of Ningxia Energy and Chemical's BDO plant is to carry out local revamping of the original BDO plant and the supporting project of the new alkyne unit, which solves the production bottleneck problems exposed successively since the BDO plant was put into operation, such as insufficient design capacity, short catalyst replacement cycle, poor equipment stability and so on. After revamping, the unit BDO can increase capacity by 45000 tons per year, reduce unit consumption, achieve the ultimate goal of optimizing efficient and economic operation, and help Ningxia Energy and Chemical to turn losses and extricate itself from difficulties.

The project officially started on February 17, 2022, and finally completed the main project construction of the BDO standard transformation project on April 15, 2023.
