Sichuan Jinhaima's 100kt/year BDO project signs contract

On April 21, 2023, Sichuan Jinhaima Industrial Co., Ltd. (Dazhou) Chemical New Materials Project Investment Cooperation Agreement signing ceremony was held in Dazhou, Sichuan. Xuanhan County People's Government and Sichuan Jinhaima Industrial Co., Ltd. reached in-depth cooperation in the field of new chemical materials and signed an investment cooperation agreement.

It is understood that the project takes the comprehensive utilization of natural gas as the core, focusing on the development of new high-end chemical materials, key raw materials for the fine chemical industry, and the clean fuel industry, with a planned investment of 10.947 billion yuan. The project will be divided into two phases, one of which covers an area of 578mu, with a planned investment of 3.573 billion yuan to build a 100kt/year BDO (1,4-butanediol), 100kt/year of PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) and 240kt/year of formaldehyde, which is expected to be completed and put into production within three years; the second phase plans to use 385 mu of land with a planned investment of 7.374 billion yuan, which will be built after the first phase reaching production.
