Huaheng Energy's 2 PTMEG, 3 BDO and 360kt/year calcium carbide production units to start operation in end-September

Recently, at the construction site of the PTMEG and PBAT new material industry chain integration project of Inner Mongolia Huaheng Energy Technology Co., Ltd., cranes, loaders and transport vehicles were carrying out construction operations in various operation areas in an orderly manner, and workers were carrying out pipeline welding, wire laying, equipment debugging, road hardening and other work.

The construction of the project was divided into two phases, the first phase started construction in July 2021, with a total investment of about 10.5 billion yuan, mainly producing 1,4 BDO, PTMEG, PBAT and other products. After the first phase of the project was completed and put into production, the average annual operating income would reach more than 11 billion yuan, and the average annual profit and tax would be more than 1 billion yuan, which can solve and promote the employment of more than 2000 people.

"At present, the first phase of the project is under construction, and the power station is expected to be put into operation at the beginning of May; two PTMEG production units are ready for production and will be put into use together with sewage treatment plant, methanol plant, natural gas hydrogen production plant and other public works by the end of June; the remaining two PTMEG production units, three BDO production units and 360kt/year calcium carbide production units will be put into operation by the end of September. At that time, the first phase of the project will be fully put into production. After putting into production, further enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of Wuhai degradable materials industry, will also achieve the zero breakthrough of PTMEG, PBAT products in Inner Mongolia."
