The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced on Jun 9th local time that it would ban the import of products from Chinese printer manufacturers Ninestar as well as Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical on the grounds that these companies involved so-called "forced labor." On Jun 21, 2022, the United States implemented the so-called "Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act". According to Reuters, 22 companies have been included in the list of prohibited imports, and China has repeatedly denied the US's allegations of so-called "forced labor".

Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical Co., Ltd. responded that the company's main products are polyvinyl chloride resin, ion-exchange membrane caustic soda, viscose fiber and rayon yarn. In 2022, the operating income was 55.911 billion yuan, of which domestic income accounted for 93.37% and export income took up 6.63%. The inclusion in the entity list this time will not have a major impact on the company's production and operation.
