Xinjiang Lize Hongqing’s CO2 hydrogenation-based methanol plant makes progress

Xinjiang Lize Hongqing's CO2 hydrogenation-based methanol plant has made progress in the construction since the groundbreaking in Jun 2023.

The project is divided into two phases. Phase I, expected to start in Jun 2025, includes units of syngas desulfurization, methanol synthesis, hydrogen recovery, methanol rectification, as well as integrated switchyard, water feeding system, waste water treatment, CO2 pipeline, etc. Its Phase II is expected to start construction in 2025, and will include capacity of 200kta BDO, 100kta spandex, 100kta PBS, 100kta DMC, etc. The construction work of Phase II is expected to finish in 2028.
