China's PSF exports continue to rise in Aug, 2023

According to the China Customs, uncarded PSF exports of China were 101.6kt in Aug, 2023, an increase of 16% year on year and up 4.2% month on month. Imports were 9,800 tons, up 35.1% from the same period of last year and 13.7% from Jul, 2023. Both imports and exports moved up in Aug.

From Jan to Aug 2023, exports totaled 804.7kt, up 21.98% year on year. The exports maintained good and were the highest in the past five years.

In terms of the top 10 export destinations in Jan-Aug, 2023, Vietnam remained the largest export markets, with a volume of 136,850 tons, up about 33.35% from the same period of 2022. Except the United States, exports to these major markets saw two-digit growth year on year.

For the export market proportion, Vietnam took the largest share of 18.5% in Aug 2023, up 6.5% year on year. Pakistan and Indonesia took the second and third largest shares, and their shares increased by 2.3% and 1.5% respectively.

 

PSF exports remain good by now this year, and the traditional textile markets tend to turn to import PSF instead of polyester yarn. Under the impact of industrial shift, PSF exports may keep high in the rest of the year.
