China coal, crude oil and natural gas production and imports in Sep

Raw coal production keeps stable and imports growth remains fast. According to National Bureau of Statistics, in September, coal production reached 390 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%, with the growth rate 1.6 percentage points lower than that of August, and a daily output of 13.10 million tons. Coal imports amounted to 42.14 million tons in September, a year-on-year increase of 27.8%, with the growth rate down 23 percentage points compared to August.

 

From January to September 2023, coal production reached 3.44 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%. Coal imports amounted to 350 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 73.1%.

 

Crude oil production stays steady and imports keep fast growth. In September, crude oil production reached 16.87 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.3%, with the growth rate 2.8 percentage points lower than that of August, and a daily output of 562,000 tons. Crude oil imports amounted to 45.74 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%, with the growth rate 17.2 percentage points lower than that of August.

 

From January to September 2023, crude oil production reached 156.72 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%. Crude oil imports amounted to 424.27 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.6%.

 

Crude oil processing growth rate remains fast. In September, crude oil processing volume reached 63.62 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.0%, with the growth rate 7.6 percentage points lower than that of August, and a daily processing volume of 2.121 million tons. From January to September, crude oil processing volume reached 554.84 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.5%.

 

Natural gas production growth accelerate and imports maintain stable. In September, natural gas production reached 17.9 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 9.3%, with the growth rate 3.0 percentage points higher than that of August, and a daily output of 600 million cubic meters. Natural gas imports amounted to 10.15 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%, with the growth rate 22.6 percentage points lower than that of August.

 

From January to September 2023, natural gas production reached 170.4 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. Natural gas imports amounted to 87.77 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.2%, according to National Bureau of Statistics.
