Vietnam's exports of textiles and apparels falls 26% m-o-m in Sep

According to the latest statistics, in Sep 2023, Vietnam's exports of textiles and apparels reached 2.568 billion US dollars, a month-on-month decrease of 25.55% after continuous growth for four consecutive months, with a year-on-year decrease of 5.77%. The exports of yarn were 153.8kt, an increase of 11.73% compared to the previous month and 32.64% compared to the same period last year. The imports of yarn were 89.2kt, an increase of 5.46% compared to the previous month and 19.29% compared to the same period last year. The imports of fabrics were 1.1 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.47% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 2.62% compared to the same period last year.

From Jan to Sep 2023, Vietnam's exports of textiles and apparels reached 25.095 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 13.6%. The exports of yarn were 1.3165 million tons, a y-o-y increase of 9.3%. The imports of yarn were 761.8kt, a y-o-y decrease of 5.6%. The imports of fabrics were 9.579 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 16.3%.
