Inner Mongolia Sanwei's BDO integrated project (Phase I) has trial production.

Sanwei announced on November 21, 2023 that the main project of the BDO integration project (phase I) built by Inner Mongolia Sanwei New Materials Co., Ltd., a holding subsidiary, has been completed and put into trial operation. The calcium carbide and BDO devices have been completed, and the products have reached the top grade.

Sanwei said that it will take some time for the above projects to reach full production, and they may also face the influence of uncertain factors such as the market environment and changes in the competition pattern.

In addition, Sanwei optimized and promoted the BDO and biodegradable plastics integration project (Phase II) built in Wuhai, and planned to invest 700kt/year BDO, 500kt/year degradable plastics PBAT, 240kt/year high-end polyether material PTMEG and 100kt/year NMP and supporting green power projects in Wuhai High-tech Industrial Development Zone. After the completion of the project, the total scale of Sanwei's BDO integration project will reach 1 million tons/year BDO, 600kt/year PBAT, 300kt/year PTMEG, 100kt/year GBL and 100kt/year NMP.
