Spunlace nonwovens export of China in Oct posts a notable decline

According to customs data, spunlace non-woven fabric export of China in Oct hit a monthly record low of 35.404kt within the year (except for the Spring Festival in Feb), representing a 2% year-on-year decrease and a 12% month-on-month decrease. The average export price is $2,100/mt, falling by 5% YoY and 2% MoM. Cumulative exports from Jan to Oct totaled 371.397kt, up 11% YoY.

The exports to the top five destinations (South Korea, U.S., Japan, Vietnam, and Brazil) totaled 18.164kt in Sep, down 8% MoM and 2%YoY, accounting for 51% of total exports. Except for a decline in export volume to South Korea and the United States, the export to other major destinations all registered a growth of 7-40%. The month-on-month situation was divided, with a recovery in export to the U.S. but decline in other regions.

Major origins (Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Fujian) contributed 29.31kt, down 4% YoY and 14% MoM, representing 83% of total exports.

The export volume of spunlace nonwovens in Oct hit a monthly record low with in the year (except for the Spring Festival in Feb), posting a decline on both monthly and yearly basis. The export volume to the major five destinations has generally dropped compared to the previous month, with a minor decline in the demand.
