ICE cotton futures market edges higher

ICE cotton futures market edged higher. Contract of Jul closed at 76.64cent/lb, up 0.49cent/lb and contract of Dec closed at 80.16cent/lb, up 0.57cent/lb. By the week ending May 31, about 66% U.S. cotton crops have been planted, up 13 percentage point from May 24, up 2 percentage point from the same period of 2025, down 1 percentage point from five-year average, according to USDA.
Cotlook A Index reduced by 0.45cent/lb to 86.25cent/lb.
