Consistently sleeping under an ITN can decrease severe malaria by 45 percent, reduce premature births by 42 percent, and cut all-cause child mortality by 17 to 63 percent. Deltamethrin Insecticide:
This net has been pretreated as per World Health Organization guidelines, to provide extra protection against mosquitoes. The mesh size provides protection against mosquitoes while allowing for maximum ventilation in hot and humid climates.
This deltamethrin treatment provides 4 to 5 years of protection, depending upon the amount of exposure to sunlight and high humidity that it receives. The deltamethrin will still be effective, even after 20 washings.
Insecticide-treated mosquito nets, if used properly, are one of the best ways to prevent mosquitoes from biting and infecting individuals with malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.
