Cotton crop condition in United States (by Jul 4, 2021)

By the week ending Jul 4, about 42% U.S. cotton crops have been squaring, up 10% from last week, down 3% from a year ago, and down 4% from five-year average, according to USDA. About 11% of the crops is setting bolls, up 4% from previous week, down 1% from a year ago, and down 6% from five-year average.

Crop condition is 1 percent very poor, 9 percent poor, 38 percent fair, 44 percent good and 8 percent excellent.
