Cotton crop condition in United States (by Jul 18, 2021)

By the week ending Jul 18, about 69% U.S. cotton crops have been squaring, up 14% from last week, down 3% from a year ago, and down 4% from five-year average, according to USDA. About 23% of the crops is setting bolls, up 7% from previous week, down 3% from a year ago, and down 7% from five-year average.

Crop condition is 2 percent very poor, 7 percent poor, 31 percent fair, 49 percent good and 11 percent excellent.
