Sinopec Tianjin Nangang Ethylene Project started

The project cluster consists of 11 projects, including Tianjin Nangang Ethylene and Downstream High-end New Materials Industry Cluster, Beijing Chemical Research Institute Pilot Base, Great Wall Lubricant, Catalyst Production Base, LNG Expansion, Stone Science Experiment Base, and Engineering Research Achievement Transformation Center, photovoltaic new energy, petrochemical e-trade platform and other key projects. 

The total investment of the project is 60. 3 billion yuan. 

It is a major project to promote the national strategy of coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. 

The Nangang ethylene project is expected to be completed in 2023, and the project cluster is expected to be completed in 2025. 

Nangang Ethylene Project, as the leader of the project cluster, takes the 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant as the leader, and the industrial chain extends to α-olefin, acrylonitrile, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS), polyolefin elastomer (POE) , high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and other 12 sets of high-end new material devices.
