Tianjin bohai chemical's MTO plant officially put into operation
On May 1, the methanol-to-olefin plant of Tianjin bohai chemical was put into trial operation. After the test run, the methanol-to-olefin production line needs about 30 days of stable operation, and it is expected to be officially start commercial production by the end of May.
The relocation and reconstruction project of Tianjin bohai chemical is the key project of Tianjin's 13th five-year Plan, which is located in the Nangang Industrial Zone of Tianjin Economic and technological Development area, with a total investment of 29.4 billion yuan. There are two major product chains: methanol to olefins and ethane cracking to ethylene. The first phase includes 600,000 tons/year caustic soda plant, 800,000 tons/year vinyl chloride plant, 800,000 tons/year polyvinyl chloride plant, 100,000 tons/year hydrogen peroxide plant, 300,000 tons/year polypropylene plant, 200,000 tons/year propylene oxide and 450,000 tons/year of styrene plant, 1.8 million tons/year methanol-to-olefin plant, as well as supporting public works, self-use tank farm, special tank farm, wharf, 220KV station, production management area and so on.
Among them, 1.8 million tons of methanol-to-olefin production line adopts the DMTO-II methanol-to-olefin proprietary technology of Dalian Chemical Institute, which is contracted by Luoyang Engineering Company.
