NIKE, Inc. reported financial results for its fiscal 2022 fourth quarter and full year ended May 31, 2022. Fourth quarter reported revenues were $12.23 billion, compared with $12.34 billion in the same period a year earlier. Direct reported revenues for the fourth quarter increased 7% to $4.8 billion, while wholesale reported revenues declined 7% to $6.8 billion. Total sales in North America declined 5 percent to $5.11 billion in the quarter. Total sales in Greater China declined 19 percent to $1.56 billion. Fourth-quarter profit was $1.4 billion, compared with a profit of $1.5 billion in the same period a year earlier.

 

Adidas reported revenue for the second quarter of 2022 dragged down by supply-side shocks and revenue losses in Russia, as well as the impact of China's closure controls. The German sporting goods giant's Q2 currency-neutral sales were up 4% to 5.6 billion euros (about $5.59 billion), with revenue in Greater China down 35%, making it the fifth consecutive quarter of negative revenue growth in Greater China. However, Adidas said the Asia-Pacific region as a whole returned to a growth of 14 percent. The net profit for the second quarter of 309 million euros, down 24.2% year-on-year.

 

Puma announced its financial results for the second quarter and first half of 2022. EBIT margin increased 30 basis points to 8.7%. Net profit was 206 million euros, an improvement of 30.3% year-over-year.

 

Skechers announces second quarter 2022 results. Second quarter reported revenues were $1.868 billion, compared to $1.662 billion a year earlier. Quarterly net income was $90.4 million, compared with $137 million a year earlier.

 

Lululemon announced the financial results for the second fiscal quarter ended July 31, 2022. Second quarter reported net revenues were $1.868 billion, compared with $1.451 billion in the same period last year. Quarterly net profit was $290 million, compared with $208 million a year earlier.

 

Under Armour announced the financial results for the second quarter of 2022. Quarterly net revenue was $1.349 billion, compared with $1.352 billion in the same period last year. Quarterly net profit was $7.68 million, compared to $59.21 million a year earlier.

 

Asics announces the financial results for the first half of 2022. Net sales for the period were 225 billion yen (about 1.576 billion U.S. dollars), compared with 209.4 billion yen in the same period last year. Operating profit was 19.1 billion yen, compared with 23.9 billion yen in the same period last year. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was 13.5 billion yen, compared with 12.3 billion yen a year earlier.

 

InditexZara's parent company, the world's largest clothing retailer, reported beat sales and profit expectations for the first half of its fiscal year ending July 2022, despite a sharp rise in global inflation. Its EBITDA rose to €2.43 billion from €1.69 billion a year earlier. Sales climbed to 14.85 billion euros (about $14.81 billion) from 11.94 billion euros in the year-earlier period.

 

H&M Group announced results for the second fiscal quarter and first half of the fiscal year ended May 31, 2022. Net sales for the second fiscal quarter were SEK 54.5 billion (approximately $5.09 billion), compared with SEK 46.5 billion in the same period of the previous year. Quarterly profit was SEK 3.68 billion, compared with SEK 2.77 billion in the same period last year. Net sales for the first half of the fiscal year were 103.7 billion kroons (approximately $9.69 billion), compared to 86.6 billion kroons in the same period of the previous year. Profit for the first half of the fiscal year was 3.9 billion kroons, compared to 1.7 billion kroons in the same period of the previous year.

 

GAP Group reported second quarter 2022 results. Quarterly net sales were $3.857 billion, compared to $4.211 billion in the prior-year period. The quarterly net loss was $49 million, compared to a net profit of $258 million in the prior-year period.

 

Uniqlo's parent company, Fast Retailing, announced results for the first nine months of its fiscal year ending May 31, 2022. The company's net profit increased 57% year-over-year, due in part to higher revenues from its North American and European operations. Net profit for the period increased to 237.84 billion yen from 151.35 billion yen in the same period a year earlier. Revenue rose 3.9% from a year earlier to 1.765 trillion yen (about $12.36 billion). Revenue declined in Japan and China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, but grew in the rest of Asia, Oceania, and North America and Europe.

 

VF Corporation announced results for its fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2022. Quarterly net revenue was $2.262 billion, compared to $2.195 billion in the prior year quarter. Quarterly net loss was $55.96 million, compared to a net profit of $324 million in the same period of the previous year.

 

Victoria's Secret & Co. announced results for its second fiscal quarter ended July 31, 2022. Net sales for the quarter were $1.521 billion, compared to $1.614 billion for the same period in the prior year. Net profit for the quarter was $69.93 million, compared to $151 million for the same period a year ago.
