Encourage foreign investment: PLA, PBS, PHA, PTT fiber and so on

On October 28, 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce publicly released the "Catalogue of Industries encouraging Foreign Investment (2022 Edition)" (hereinafter referred to as the new edition of the encouragement catalogue).

The new edition of the "encouragement catalogue" includes the production of biomass fiber using new renewable resources and green processes, including new solvent cellulose fiber (Lyocell), regenerated cellulose fiber from bamboo and flax, polylactic acid fiber (PLA), chitin fiber, polyhydroxyl fatty acid ester fiber (PHA), animal and plant protein fiber, polybutylene succinate (PBS), etc. Poly (lactic acid) (PLA, using non-food biomass as raw material); poly (trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT); biodegradable resin matrix composites, nylon 56 (non-food biomass as raw material), etc.
