Ethiopia signs project agreement with UNIDO to support the development of textile and apparel industry

The Ethiopian News Agency reported on February 1 that Ethiopia has signed a $28 million project agreement with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to support the accelerated development of Ethiopia's textile and apparel industry. The project, to be implemented by the Ethiopian Textile Industry Development Institute over the next 5 years, focuses on promoting the development of a circular economy in the textile and apparel industry through the introduction of resource-efficient technologies.
