Spunlace non-woven fabric export to US recovers somehow in Jun
According to customs data, spunlace non-woven fabric export of China reached 36.424kt in Jun 2025, representing a 8% year-on-year increase but a 6% month-on-month decrease. The average export price was $2,299/mt, rising by 2% YoY and 3% MoM. Cumulative exports from Jan to Jun totaled 220.066kt, up 12% YoY.
The exports to the top five destinations (South Korea, U.S., Japan, Vietnam, and Brazil) totaled 17.489kt in Jun, up 2% YoY but down 4% MoM, accounting for 48% of total exports. Exports to the United States in Jun showed a certain recovery. According to feedback from some exporters, the United States will bear most or even all of the tariffs. Exports to South Korea dropped significantly.
Major origins (Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Fujian) contributed 30.065kt, up 6% YoY but down 7% MoM, representing 83% of total exports.
In Jun, the export market for spunlace nonwovens was as lackluster as Chinese domestic market. Except for Feb, the export volume in Jun was the lowest so far. The average export price rebounded to some extent but remained at a relatively low level. The highlight in Jun was that trade with the United States recovered to a certain degree, and the United States was willing to bear most or all of the tariffs, which set an example for other fabric mills.
