Spunlace non-woven fabric export hits a monthly record high in Sep
According to customs data, spunlace non-woven fabric export of China hit a monthly record high of 40.258kt in Sep 2025, representing a 23% year-on-year increase and a 6% month-on-month increase. The average export price hit a record low of $2,147/mt, falling by 2% YoY but rising by 4% MoM. Cumulative exports from Jan to Sep totaled 335.993kt, up 13% YoY.
The exports to the top five destinations (South Korea, U.S., Japan, Vietnam, and Brazil) totaled 19.8kt in Sep, up 6% MoM and 9%YoY, accounting for 49% of total exports. In Sep, except for a sharp decline in export volume to the United States, the export to other major destinations all registered notable growth. The month-on-month situation was divided, with a decline in export to South Korea and Vietnam but growth of 7-37% to other regions.
Major origins (Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Fujian) contributed 33.908kt, up 23% YoY and 6% MoM, representing 84% of total exports.
The export volume of spunlace nonwovens hit a monthly record high in Sep, posting a marked growth both on monthly and yearly basis. There was better demand from US, Japan and Indonesia, and the export price slightly rebounded in Sep after hitting new lows in Aug.
