China: NDRC announces sliding-scale duty cotton quotas for 2021

National Development and Reform Commission announced officially on April 30 that additional 700kt of sliding-scale duty quotas of cotton would be allocated this year, in order to guarantee the cotton demand for textile enterprises.

The quotas are all for non-state owned trade quotas, 400kt for imports by processing trade terms and 300kt for no defined trade terms, and appliers can choose the terms of trade by themselves. The application date is from May 6 to May 18, 2021.
