Dongyuan Technology's 200kt/year BDO unit plans to start in 2022

Recently, Inner Mongolia Dongjing Bio-Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., which is contracted by Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., held a special meeting on the design tail-in work of the 200kt/year 1,4BD (BDO) project. The meeting required that the project team should seriously sort out the existing problems, formulate effective solutions, strengthen the coordination of the design, procurement and construction interface, and scientifically arrange the on-site construction; it comprehensively sorted out the current design progress and determined the completion time for the overall progress of the project to lay a solid foundation for the mid-delivery target on June 30, 2022.

The project is contracted by Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. and is located in Wuda Industrial Park, Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia, making use of the advantages of local resources such as lime, electric power and coal. The project has a total investment of 2.94 billion yuan, which is scheduled to be completed and put into production in 2022.

After the completion of the project, Dongyuan Technology's BDO capacity will reach 400kt per year, with output value to be 13 billion yuan. The company will become the world's largest BDO green, low-carbon, recycling integrated industrial base and it will help to form the layout advantages of the biodegradable plastic industry chain.
