Shenghong biodegradable materials project start construction

On June 17th, 2023, the groundbreaking ceremony for Shenghong Biodegradable Materials Project, a major project in Jiangsu Province, was held at the Lianyungang Petrochemical Industry Base. 

Shenghong Biodegradable Materials Project is part of the Shenghong New Materials Project. The project covers a total area of approximately 800,000 square meters, with an initial investment of approximately 6.5 billion yuan. 

It will mainly include a 200,000 tons/year maleic anhydride plant, a 150,000 tons/year BDO plant, and a 120,000 tons/year PBAT plant. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in August 2025.
