Xinxiang Chemical Fiber releases its semi-annual report for 2023

On the evening of August 21, 2023, Xinxiang Chemical Fiber (000949.SZ) released its semi-annual report for 2023. During the reporting period, the company realized operating income of 3.406 billion yuan, down 14.08% from the same period of last year. Net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was 11.4052 million yuan, up 21.04% year on year. Net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies after deducting non-recurring profits and losses was -2.61595 million yuan; basic earnings per share was 0.0080 yuan.

Compared with the same period of last year, the production of biomass cellulose filament was stable, domestic sales increased and export volume decreased during the reporting period; benefiting from the influence of higher selling prices, lower sea freight and higher US dollar exchange rate, the gross profit margin of biomass cellulose filament increased and the gross profit grew. Due to the release of new capacity of spandex fiber, under the influence of unstable factors in spandex market, gross profit margin and gross profit decreased on the year year, while production and sales of spandex fiber increased.
