Turkey issues an announcement about the expiration of the anti-dumping case involving PSF from China Taiwan
On February 1, 2024, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2024/6 stating that anti-dumping measures for polyester staple fiber (polyester elyaf) from Chinese Taiwan, India and Thailand will be expired on August 4, 2024. Turkish domestic manufacturers can file a sunset review investigation application before the expiration of the measure. The Turkish tax number of the products involved is 5503.20.00.00.00.
On April 26, 2002, Turkey launched an original anti-dumping investigation into polyester staple fiber originating in Chinese Taiwan, India and Thailand. On August 4, 2019, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2019/26, making the third anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on the case, maintaining anti-dumping duties on the products involved in Chinese Taiwan, India and Thailand, with tax rates of 6.4%~12.0%, 8.5%~12.0%, 12.0% respectively. In view of Turkey's safeguard measures against imported polyester staple fiber, the anti-dumping measures have been suspended from September 23, 2021.
