Public announcement of environmental impact assessment of Shuguang Lvhua's PTMEG project in Xinjiang

In early-February, Xinjiang Shuguang Lvhua Bio-technology Co., Ltd.'s 46kt/year PTMEG project entered the environmental assessment phase.

According to the project's environmental impact assessment report, in order to seize the rapid development opportunities in the PTMEG industry, Xinjiang Shuguang Lvhua Bio-technology Co., Ltd. plans to construct a 46kt/year PTMEG unit. Upon completion of the project, it will effectively extend its own integrated industry chain in BDO, enhancing the company's product competitiveness in the BDO and PTMEG industries.

Location: The project is located in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Second Division Shuangfeng Circular Economy Industrial Park, with reserved land within Xinjiang Shuguang Lvhua Bio-technology Co., Ltd.

Construction unit name: Xinjiang Shuguang Lvhua Bio-technology Co., Ltd.

Compilation unit name: Xinjiang Chemical Design Research Institute Co., Ltd.

Construction scale and product plan: The project uses 1,4-butanediol (BDO) as raw material, which is catalytically cyclized and dehydrated to form tetrahydrofuran (THF). The THF is then polymerized using acetic anhydride method to produce the final product polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG). Some of the required BDO raw materials will be supplied by Xinjiang Shuguang Lvhua's existing 100kt/year BDO unit under construction, while some of the THF raw materials will be provided by the by-product THF of the under-construction PBAT unit. The production capacity of the PTMEG unit is determined to be 46kt/year.
