Xinjiang's first "Lighthouse Factory" project in the textile industry breaks ground in Urumqi

Xinjiang's textile industry marked a new milestone as its first "Lighthouse Factory" project officially broke ground in Urumqi.

The project is jointly developed by Shanghai Digital Intelligence World Group and Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone Jianfa State-owned Capital Investment and Operation (Group) Co., Ltd. With a total planned capacity of 500,000 spindles, the project will be constructed in two phases.

The groundbreaking marks the launch of Phase I, which covers approximately 267 mu of land and involves a total investment of around 1.5 billion yuan. This phase will establish a comprehensive complex with a capacity of 200,000 spindles. Key components include large-scale production lines, pilot testing lines, a headquarters office center, an innovation and R&D center, an international exchange center for the industry, a supply chain coordination hub, and an exhibition area showcasing achievements in the cotton spinning industry.

Once completed, the facility is expected to process around 50,000 tons of local cotton annually, generating an estimated annual output value of 1 billion yuan and creating or supporting over 1,000 jobs.
