Jiaxing officials attend groundbreaking ceremony for major industrial project in Haining

On May 22, Chen Wei, Secretary of the Jiaxing Municipal Party Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for a major industrial project in Haining and conducted an on-site inspection to supervise the progress of key projects. Xu Mingliang, Secretary of the Haining Municipal Party Committee, and Xu Honglian, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Haining, also participated in the event.

The project, with a total investment exceeding 10 billion yuan, will be built in two phases. Phase I covers about 719 mu and includes includes five sets of 750,000-ton high-viscosity PET chip production units, two sets of high-performance copolyester units with annual capacities of 70,000 tons and 80,000 tons, respectively, aiming for an annual production capacity of 3.9 million tons.

Chen Wei also visited the Hengyi New Materials Innovation-Based Green Technology Demonstration Park in Jiashan New District, which has a total investment of 10 billion yuan. Two sub-projects have started, and three are in the pilot stage. Chen stressed the importance of accelerating major industrial projects to boost Jiaxing's green and smart manufacturing capacity.
