Jiujiang ETDZ holds a kickoff meeting for the construction of the 1.2 million ton/year of polyester filament project

On August 27, Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone (Jiujiang ETDZ) held a kickoff meeting for the construction of the annual 1.2 million-ton polyester filament project. This marks the completion of the "last mile" of the petrochemical aromatics industrial chain in Jiujiang ETDZ, which will drive the industrial chain to achieve a leap from "having" to "excellence" and from "completeness" to "strength", providing sustained impetus for building a modern industrial system. Wang Bin, Second-Level Inspector of the Municipal Government, attended and delivered a speech. He stated that the official start of Huaxiang Zhixian's annual 1.2 million-ton polyester filament project is another major achievement of the city in fully implementing the "1269" action plan of the Provincial Party Committee and further advancing the "9610" project of the Municipal Party Committee. It is also an important milestone for the city's petrochemical industry to move towards high-end and clustering development. "We will fully guarantee the supply of key factors such as land, funds, and energy consumption, continue to deepen the reform of the administrative approval system, optimize processes and shorten time limits. With the highest efficiency and best services, we will ensure the project progresses without obstacles and is implemented at an accelerated pace, promoting it to become a high-quality project and a benchmark project with leading technology, green and low carbon, and first-class benefits. This will contribute new and greater strength to Jiujiang's high-standard and high-quality construction of an important node city in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and its efforts to write a chapter of Chinese-style modernization for Jiujiang," Wang Bin added.

In strict accordance with the project schedule and quality standards, it will work backwards from the deadline and implement the project with a clear plan to ensure the project is completed and put into production on schedule with high quality, striving to build Huaxiang Zhixian into a world-class polyester filament production enterprise. Hou Zhanning, General Manager of China Kunlun Engineering Co., Ltd., stated that the company will strictly implement the overall deployment of the project, go all out to provide design services and technical support, and provide full-process guarantee for the efficient advancement of the project.

It is reported that Huaxiang Zhixian is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huaxiang (Jiangxi) Holdings Development Co., Ltd. The annual 1.2 million-ton polyester filament project of Huaxiang Zhixian is invested and constructed by Huaxiang (Jiangxi) Holdings Development Co., Ltd. Relying on the PX-PTA-PET integrated industrial chain of the Petrochemical Industrial Park in Jiujiang ETDZ, the project will be implemented in two phases. Among them, the first phase is an annual 400,000-ton integrated polyester-spinning functional fiber project, which mainly produces high-end products such as fiber-grade polyester chips and functional fibers. After reaching full production capacity, it is expected to achieve an annual main business income of approximately 5 billion yuan and create nearly 1,500 jobs. After the entire project is fully completed and put into production, the annual output value is expected to exceed 8 billion yuan, which will strongly drive the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industries.
