Cotton crop condition in United States (by Aug 24, 2025)

By the week ending Aug 24, 81% of U.S. cotton crops is setting bolls, up 8 percentage point from Aug 17, down 7 percentage point from the same period of 2024, down 6 percentage point from five-year average, according to USDA. 20% of crops is bolls opening.

Crop condition is 3 percent very poor, 10 percent poor, 33 percent fair, 43 percent good and 11 percent excellent.
