India records 9.1% growth in US T&A imports, trails behind Vietnam and Bangladesh
The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) has released its analysis of US textile and apparel imports from key supplier nations - China, Vietnam, India, and Bangladesh - covering the period January to July 2025 as compared to the same period in 2024.
In July 2025, USA's T&A imports from Vietnam and Bangladesh increased by 14.2% and 5.2%, respectively, over July 2024. While growth momentum moderated compared to June, both countries continued to strengthen their market position in the US.
India's exports to the USA grew by 9.1% in July 2025 compared to July 2024. Imports in July 2025 was about 12% higher than June 2025. However, India's pace of expansion remains significantly lower than that of its key competitors over the year-to-date period.
China continued to see a sharp decline in July 2025 as well, with imports from China dropping by 34.6% compared to July 2024.
