EU initiates anti-dumping investigation into Chinese PET spunbond nonwovens

On September 15, 2025, the European Commission issued a notice stating that, in response to the application filed by EU enterprises Freudenberg Performance Materials and Johns Manville on August 8, 2025, it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into PET spunbond nonwovens originating from China. The EU Combined Nomenclature (CN) codes of the products involved in the case are (ex) 5603 13 90, 5603 14 20 and (ex)5603 14 80 (with TARIC codes 5603 13 90 70 and 5603 14 80 70).The dumping investigation period of this case is from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2022 to the end of the dumping investigation period. A preliminary ruling in this case is expected to be made within 7 months, with a maximum extension of no more than 8 months.
