Turkey initiates anti-circumvention investigation on synthetic and artificial short-fiber fabrics originating from China

On October 21, 2025, Turkey's Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2025/34, stating that it has independently initiated an anti-circumvention investigation on synthetic and artificial short-fiber fabrics originating from China. The investigation will examine whether the involved products originating from China are transshipped to Turkey via the United Arab Emirates (UAE), South Korea and Egypt to avoid anti-dumping duties. The tariff codes for the involved products are 5513, 5514, 5515 and 5516. The announcement takes effect from the date of issuance. Stakeholders shall submit questionnaires within 37 days from the date of the announcement.
