Cotton crop condition in United States (by Aug 3, 2025)

By the week ending Aug 3, 87% of U.S. cotton crops is squaring, up 7 percentage point from Jul 27, down 3 percentage point from the same period of 2024, down 2 percentage point from five-year average, according to USDA. 55% of crops is setting bolls and 5% of crops is bolls opening.

Crop condition is 5 percent very poor, 10 percent poor, 30 percent fair, 45 percent good and 10 percent excellent.
