According to customs data, spunlace non-woven fabric export of China reached 37.988kt in Aug 2025, representing an 8% year-on-year increase and a 1% month-on-month increase. The average export price hit a record low of $2,071/mt, falling by 5% YoY and 4% MoM. Cumulative exports from Jan to Aug totaled 295.734kt, up 11% YoY.

The exports to the top five destinations (South Korea, U.S., Japan, Vietnam, and Brazil) totaled 18.706kt in Aug, up 6% MoM and largely flat YoY, accounting for 49% of total exports. In Aug, except for the slight decrease in export volume to the United States, the export to other major destinations all registered growth. The month-on-month situation was similar, with only differences in the growth rates. Notably, the monthly export to Mexico exceeded 2kt for the first time, and it also ranked third in monthly share for the first time.

Major origins (Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Fujian) contributed 32.089kt, up 9% YoY and largely flat MoM, representing 84% of total exports.

In Aug, the export volume of spunlace nonwovens maintained sound year-on-year growth and remained roughly stable on monthly basis. However, the average export price hit a record low, and the pressure of export competition was relatively high. Notably, the export to Mexico performed brilliantly in Aug, and the attention on the South American market is on the rise.
